A homeless Army veteran walks into a near-empty bar at closing time to face the man he served with, who hands out meals at the VFW but never recognized him, and to find out whether anyone still remembers he exists.
Synopsis
It's closing time at the Foxhole, a bar with four customers a day and old unit coins pinned to the corkboard. Mo and Zaria are closing up when a soaked stranger named Marcus walks in, bag at his side, saying he's looking for something. His eyes keep drifting to the corkboard, then to Denny, the quiet regular at the end of the bar. Years ago they served together. Denny has handed him meals at the VFW without once recognizing him. Tonight, Marcus wants to be seen.
