SWAN CITY About
The company
Swan City Productions started as an idea for a film festival. When Shane A. Johnson put out the call for scripts, everyone who submitted one thought he was going to make their film. So he changed course and switched from festival planning to filmmaking. Swan City Productions became an LLC in 2025, and today it develops and produces independent stories from its home base in Lakeland, Florida. Independent films from the heart of Florida.
Founder
Swan City Productions was founded by Shane A. Johnson, a Lakeland, Florida actor, writer, director and producer. Through Swan City he develops grounded, character-driven stories about survival, loyalty and redemption, including the series Kill Match, in which he stars as Cross, plus films like The Gift, Backyard Bros and Last Known Location: What Remains. The company is proudly rooted in Central Florida's indie film community.
